The trucks will not pick up anything with wheels or a motor, cement or new construction-boxes etc. You will have to separate it if you have a current pile that has any of the above or they will not pick any of it up. Starting May 17 we will have 2 debris trucks. One will start at East end and one at West end on Hwy. 1 and will go down lanes moving to the center of the Island for a FINAL Ida debris pick up. They WILL NOT pick up cement or new construction (including new boxes).
May 31 is the FINAL day for debris pick up. Afterwards any debris picked up will be billed to the property owner. If you see anyone dumping debris that is not on their property, please call the Town Hall 985-787-3196.
