Events in Grand Isle

Ready to compete in the Gulf against some of the top anglers in the world? Start off small at one of our many fishing rodeos held almost every weekend or cast your line during the oldest fishing tournament in the United States. Looking for something different? Come celebrate Mardi Gras, Easter, July 4th or Christmas with our small community that knows how to revel in big style.

12:30 pm – 12:55 pm – Prayer service and blessing of the tombs, Chenerie Cemetery
1:15 pm – 1:40 pm – Prayer service and blessing of the tombs, Grand Isle Cemetery on Cemetery Lane
2:00 pm – 3:00 pm – Memorial Service, Our Lady of the Isle Catholic Church, 195 Ludwig Ln, Grand Isle, LA
3:00 pm – 4:30 pm – Reception, food, drinks, and music on the grounds of Our Lady of the Isle Catholic Church
Music by the Hurricane Levee Band.
A special historical walking tour brochure will be given out after the ceremony.

October 6-7 – Ladies Fishing Rodeo Sponsored by the GI Community Development
