Rebuilding Our Natural Defenses
In partnership with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, CPRA, and local officials, Grand Isle is making a historic comeback after Hurricane Ida:

- 4 miles of beach and dunes rebuilt to 13.5 feet high
- Breakwaters and the West Jetty reinforced
- Flood protection improvements underway
- Public beach access preserved through designated crossovers
