First priority for the Town of Grand Isle elected officials is the safety for all. Town officials are not issuing a voluntary or mandatory evacuation at this time. Please be aware and be prepared to experience the following. 1.) You may experience high winds that may cause power outages that may last for hours or days. 2.) You may experience high water that will keep vehicles from getting on streets or highways. Vehicles will not be able to leave Grand Isle due to the high water along LA 1 to Golden Meadow 3.) Some of the stores and restaurants may be closed.
