As Tropical Storm Ida enters the Gulf of Mexico and the projected path is Louisiana, Mayor David Camardelle called a voluntary evacuation as of 6:00 p.m. August 26, 2021. All campers/ rv’s and boats need to evacuate. Grand Isle School is cancelled August 27, 2021. Tomorrow August 27, 2021 after a 10:30 a.m. conference call with GOSHEP, a mandatory evacuation will be called.
