The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District, and the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (LDEQ) have issued a Joint Public Notice regarding the Grand Isle Storm Damage Reduction Project.

The notice addresses the results of a Clean Water Act Section 404(b)(1) evaluation related to the proposed construction of up to 35 segmented stone breakwaters and up to 20 navigation light platforms on the Gulf side of Grand Isle, within 400 feet of shore. It also serves as the public notice for the associated LDEQ Section 401 Water Quality Certification application.
