On behalf of the Grand Isle Mayor and Town Council, we would like to take a moment this morning and extend our gratitude to everyone working to rebuild Grand Isle.

Our First Responders:
Thank you for always being the first one with boots on the ground, protecting our community and lending a helping hand. Our local fire, EMS, and police department have been working along side several other parish and state agencies to restore our community.

Our Military:
Thank you for working countless hours removing over 10,000 truckloads of sand and debris from LA1 and side streets allowing our community to come home safely.

Our Donors and Volunteers:
Your kindness and help during this time is greatly needed and appreciated. From bringing supplies, to cooking meals, we thank you for all your efforts meeting the needs of the Grand Isle Community.

Our lineman-Electricity, Gas, Water, and Street Department:
Thank you for working non stop to restore the island. Your tasks to assess and repair the infrastructure of the island is not an easy one. Shovelling through mounds of sand and debris to diagnose leaks and breaks is a large tasks. We see you. We thank you.

Since Hurricane Ida has passed, our teams have not stopped working to restore the island. Even in the rain and heat, our teams have been making progress daily. Grand Isle will survive. We are in this together.
Thank you to everyone who has played a role in restoring the island.
